Stephen Jelley broke his British F3 duck by scoring his first ever victory at Thruxton. The Double R racer started the race fifth and moved up to second before a safety car period needed to recover Sam Bird and Atte Mustonen’s cars.

After the restart he moved ahead of team mate Jonathan Kennard, who stayed behind him to make a Double R one-two. Maro Engel finished third.

Championship leader Marko Asmer had an unusually quiet race, finishing where he qualified in ninth. He was one place ahead of Sergio Perez, who won the national class for the 11th time this year. Full results below.
