Weather conditions for the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend are set to be warm and dry – but not scorching.
After a rain-hit start to the season the Spanish Grand Prix is likely to be free of precipitation. However rain is expected in the Montmelo region on Saturday night.
This could have an effect on Sunday’s race by washing away the weekend’s build-up of rubber and changing how the tyres perform. The teams will be using the hard and soft tyres this weekend.
Most weather sites forecast temperatures in the low 20s for the weekend.
Of the 18 Spanish Grands Prix to be held at the Circuit de Catalunya, three have been affected by rain. The 1992 and 1996 races were run in heavy wet conditions, and the track was damp early in the inaugural 1991 race.

I hope that it does not rain, as we want to see the teams that have new packages racing in the dry.
