  1. Finally a Mercedes-Benz win! RedBull did well to score a double podium after their below-par (for them) practice sessions.

Great drive by Perez, he was unlucky to get the suspension damage retirement, I thought he had got away with it but it wasn’t to be.

  2. Excellently controlled by Nico Rosberg, well done!

  3. Alonso was really not with it at all this weekend: I heard from Ted Kravitz that he was losing downforce from tyre marbles in his front wing, but he got absolutely mugged by Sutil, Button and rightfully had to concede position to Perez! Rosberg was faultless and great result for Vettel’s championship!

My favourite moment though had to be Vettel’s radio message towards the end:”You know the score, don’t take any risks…you don’t get any points for that” “but satisfaction”! Well said sir, well said.

Sounds like the kind of lyrics you’d hear in an 80’s/new romantic style song. :)

      1. Yea, perhaps you need the tone in Rocky’s voice as well @hellotraverse!

    2. The wing excuse doesn’t really fly when you’re getting outsmarted in 30 mph corners.

Look, Monaco is a real driver circuit and couldn’t rely on strong race pace today. He had to go out there and fight for victory wheel to wheel and it’s not his style. Also, his mentality is a problem. The Ferrari clearly the quickest race package and expectation is on him deliver this season. He doesn’t deal well with expectation. He almost goes into a shell and becomes more passive as the pressure mounts as we have seen in years where he’s been in the championship hunt.

      1. I do agree with this

The wing excuse doesn’t really fly when you’re getting outsmarted in 30 mph corners.

he just absolutely did not look himself at all today.

  4. I would ban Grosjean and Perez, because their driving is really immature and they just can’t learn from their mistakes.

  5. I loved the Forceindia will to attack both drivers went for it and Perez did as well! That is racing!

  6. Perez got what he deserved and kimi was the unfortunate victim. Really annoyed with the FIA for allowing that, as it is pretty much a “either cut the corner or we crash” type situation that was being forced. The defending driver had no legal way to defend.

  7. Alonso seems lost something today. Massa did same mistake in same place. Sigh.
