In the round-up: Colton Herta has taken his second IndyCar pole position of 2019 in Portland after championship leaders Josef Newgarden and Simon Pagenaud dropped out early in qualifying.

That’s so shocking, I don’t even have the words to describe my feelings.

It’s an important reminder that motorsport is extremely dangerous and we mustn’t ever stop to improve safety for all the people involved.

  1. What is the orange housing atop the roll hoop on the Indy cars? Is it a camera, like in F1, or something else?

    Nice tribute from the IndyCar drivers.

    It is a camera.
    In Indycar, the camera unit can rotate, that’s why it’s shaped differently
