  1. Please, please let’s see an actual race in Brazil. When the best action is a standard overtake for p13 you know it’s been a dull one!

  2. Another blow for Hamilton’s record-breaking 8th WDC chance.
    Ricciardo’s clumsiness into T1, though.
A cheeky move by Mercedes at the end. The same as Red Bull in Silverstone.

  3. Verstappen is going to win more races this season than Lewis ever did.
Hammy reign is really fading into dust quicker than an eyebat.

    1. Why do you have to be like this? It’s really sad.

      1. He doesn’t take a chill pill at all.

    2. With age, even legends lose their edge – I’m sorry, it will also happen to VER and the drivers that supersede him.

Have some respect, your comments portray you as ignorant.

      1. His comments show that he never takes a chill pill at all. Especially the Emilia Romagna GP comment.

      1. Chill pill for him.

    3. Either Mercedes brings a good car in 2022, or more people will start to ask how HAM won 7 titles.
If the regulations work as expected, he will be fair games for younger drivers.
And if the current performance is due to long covid or his diet, he better solve that.

      1. Nobody with even a passing understanding of motor racing will question his titles.

As you say, Mercedes needs to provide a competitive car. Currently they don’t have that. His current performance remains excellent with the equipment at his disposal.

As you say, Mercedes needs to provide a competitive car.

They clearly hadn’t the fastest car in Mexico but it was true for the last three races before Austin, have you forgotten that?

His current performance remains excellent with the equipment at his disposal.

To be fair, Lewis did very good in this Mexico race, smart in defense against Checo, so not too shabby against the powerful Red Bulls (Max was probably still better overall, but his rival can be proud of what he did today). His capacity of delivering great performances has not faded yet, but the consistency is becoming a question mark, and maybe his fitness as well given his state more than once in the podium ceremony.
To keep his title hopes in good shape, he really should have done better than only one win in those three more recent weekends in which Mercedes had an edge. Now it might very well be too late.

      2. I guess you haven’t been watching F1 since 2007 then. Hamilton back in the day was similar to Verstappen in many ways, that’s how he got I to a position to win 7 titles and actually how Verstappen will go on to win at least 7 also. Go educate yourself.

        1. Correct Lewis was the same as Max in his younger years. His first 2 titles were supblime.

    4. Chill pill. Immediately. Or you’re dead to me.

  4. Mercedes are just too damn dominant. It is unwatchable. Poor Redbull had no chance.

  5. Completely dominant from Verstappen. Hamilton did quite well to get second in the end. I think that’s the championship in the bag for Max though, very well deserved.

  6. 16 seconds win without even pushing. Well over a minute to 4th place and still people say the RedBull isnt dominating…

    1. I don’t think it’s “dominating”, this was just a Red Bull track. Personally I think they’ve been quite evenly matched, but Verstappen has made a couple less mistakes this season which will ultimately lead him to the championship.

      1. The counterpoint would be that RB has also been winning at “Mercedes tracks”. Whether that’s mostly because RB was actually better or Merc dropped the ball is another topic. The only way Max won’t win the WDC now is with one or more DNFs. Even the WCC looks in danger for Mercedes at this point. It looks to me like perhaps they focused too much on ’22 and gave away this season. We’ll see in the next couple of years if throwing away this year was worth it. If they aren’t at the very top IMO it wasn’t

        1. Maybe @jms90h5, and I think Honda have really upped their game this year.
Personally I think Max has just driven better than Lewis, and I state this as a Hamilton fan here. Verstappen has been relentless, tbh an awesome performance this season making next to zero mistakes and being very very fast in both quali and races. Ok the car helps, but Perez is no slouch in the same was that Bottas isn’t. I just think Max has been amazing.

It’s true, and most of Verstappen’s mistakes came during quali, as he could have held a lot more pole positions than he has now. Not the best qualifier, but probably the best racer of the grid this season alongside Alonso. Leclerc and Hamilton, on the contrary, were better overall in one-lap pace than racing performance, specially when it comes to strategy.
