Verstappen, who seems to forget to brake/turn/think, innocently clouts a wall with his nose.

Not sure how that happened, but given it’s his first time in an F1 car (other than pit-lane runs) I guess it’s excusable.

Interesting…. the same happened to Kobayashi last year when not having driven an F1 car for quite a while. And Pastor Maldonado as well…. I think even Hamilton once? It was a McLaren with a car’s width section to drive through, at a public demo run.

To me, this highlights how strange it is to be doing a ‘demo run’, complete with doughnuts, lit-up rears, waving to the crowd etc., when having so little experience (pit lane run, no laps at speed, to know where the limits are). Imagine being Jaime Alguersuari and being put into a race, when FP1 is your first time in the car at speed proper! Maybe they thought Max could easily handle it..

Incredibly clumsy manoeuvre, how do you drive nose in to a barrier like that?! Let’s hope it’s not a sign of things to come.
